Thinking about a greater sense in life
The sea keeps drawing my attention

Why should all this not be good for me?

All of a sudden a grinding sound breaks the silence
The rock I’m sitting on begins to shake
And though the cliff is about to collapse I don’t move
A captain always goes down with his ship

And in these few seconds between living and dying
I review my previous life
Could I have lived like all the other people I know
Or is the ocean what I’m living for?

Thinking about a greater sense in life

Suddenly the rock breaks off
Falls into the sea
I close my eyes and plunge into
The sea I love so much
Swallowing the cold salt water
I’m about to faint

As the water fills my lungs I can feel death’s embrace
But I realize I don’t regret giving my life to my beloved sea
